Plastic toys abandoned on beaches are washed away by the waves and therefore end up in the Ocean. Composed of microplastics resulting from the degradation of plastic toys under the effect of water, salt and the sun, this waste is ingested by aquatic species, disrupting their digestion, health and the marine environment.
